Adam Aspinall
B.ENG (Mech), MIEAust (Retired), GAICD
Adam Aspinall is a mechanical engineer with more than 40 years’ experience in the electricity and energy industries and was a leading advisor in the power industry, having consulted globally to the private and government sectors on power generation projects and issues. His expertise includes electricity and gas infrastructure development, generation and transmission procurement, electricity trading and regulatory compliance.
Adam has been regularly engaged to assist in international merger and acquisition activities, as well as international arbitrations in the role of Independent Expert.
He began his career working for the Queensland Electricity Commission in 1981 and was employed by the generation sector in Queensland for over 24 years, prior to becoming a consultant.
He has previously been the Business Development Manager and Chief Operating Officer at CS Energy, National Advisory Lead for the Power Sector at Evans & Peck and later Advisian and most recently was Acting Chief Executive Officer at Stanwell Corporation. Adam has also been a non-executive director on the Boards of Ergon Energy, Stanwell Corporation and Chairman of SPARQ Solutions.
Adam served as Chair of the CS Energy Board from June 2023 to December 2024. He chairs the Safety and Environment Committee and is a member of the Finance, Risk and Assurance Committee.
Bruce Parr

Bruce started at Artcraft Neon working his way up to Sales Manager and Development Manager. The company changed its name to Nettlefold Signs and where he held similar positions before becoming involved with Nettlefold Advertising which later was sold to Hoyts Group. Bruce became a shareholder and Director of Nettlefold Neon and also started the Australian Billboard Company which was later sold to Ooh Media.
He has been involved in the developmnt of the OziRoo solar lighting system for over 9 years.
Christopher Biggs
Christopher has worked as a Developer, System Architect and Engineering Manager. He has long been active in the technical community, and built and managed a diverse, inclusive team of over 60 developers at a leading Brisbane IT company.
In his spare time he builds and blogs robots and adds to the growing Internet of Things.

Dr/ Kame Khouzam
A/Prof. at Cleveland State University,PhD. in Photovoltaics (PV), B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Honours)
Dr. Kame Y. Khouzam was born in Cairo, Egypt. After receiving a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Honours) in 1977, he developed passion and interest in Solar Energy, Photovoltaics, and Renewable Energy and their applications. He received his M.Sc. in solar thermodynamic energy conversion in 1983 and in 1989 he received his PhD. in Photovoltaics (PV) in Ohio, in 1989. In the same year, he was recognised among the top International Students in American Colleges and Universities.
Among Dr. Khouzam achievements is his work on PV Electrolysis, which earned him the Australian National Sustainable Energy Award in 2001. He has also developed a Solar System for drying agriculture produce using liquid desiccant dehumidification in 2008. He has authored numerous publications, articles, technical papers and consulting reports in energy efficiency, energy and load management, optimum matching of PV systems and battery modelling.
Dr. Khouzam was an A/Prof. at Cleveland State University before joining Queensland University in Technology in 1991 where he taught subjects in electrical circuits, theory of electric machines, energy generation, transmission, distribution and utilisation and Photovoltaic Engineering and Fundamentals of Solar Radiation until he retirement in 2011.
Upon his retirement he joined forces with Solar Energy and PV Enthusiasts to offer consulting, design and installation of a wide variety of PV Systems for Grid and Off Grid Applications. Dr Khouzam has become a very respected and sought after presenter of solar seminars to rural and regional professionals throughout Australia.
Alan Tame
Director Off Grid Lighting, Director OziRoo
Alan started as an apprentice electrician at XXXX Brewery in Brisbane and joined Claude Neon in 1981 specialising in lighting design, sales and new business. He held positions at both Prosign and Nettlefold Neon until 1998 when he started his own business, Digi Marketing Group.
He has been involved in the development of the OziRoo solar lighting system, software development, and production for over 9 years.
Alan Brawn

Alan Brawn is the principal of Brawn Consulting, an audio visual and digital signage consulting, and outsourced service provider in application engineering, training, educational development, and market intelligence company with national exposure to major manufacturers, integrators, and associations in the industry. Alan’s industry experience spans over 4 decades and he is a recognized author for leading industry magazines. He holds CTS certification, has been a senior faculty member of AVIXA and was the moderator of the ANSI Projected Image System Contrast Ratio standard. Brawn was the AVIXA Volunteer of the Year in 2011, and he is the past Chairman of the Digital Signage Federation and co-creator of the digital signage industry certifications. The Digital Signage Federation educator of the year award is named after him. Alan was inducted into The Hall of Fame a Award from rAVe in 2004. He received the Fred Dixon Lifetime Achievement in AV Education from AVIXA in 2015 and was recognized as an AV Living Legend in 2023 by Commercial Integrator magazine.
Jonathan Brawn
CTS, DSCE, DSDE, DSNE, DCME, DSSP, ISF, ISF-C
Jonathan Brawn is a principal of Brawn Consulting, an audiovisual and digital signage consulting, educational development, and marketing firm with national exposure to major manufacturers, distributors, and integrators in the commercial audiovisual and digital signage industries.
Jonathan has extensive experience in AV and digital signage systems design and integration, as well as expertise in the development of educational programs. Before joining Brawn Consulting, Jonathan was Director of Technical Services for Visual Appliances and he successfully ran his own design/build group, Brawn & Associates. Jonathan holds CTS certification and was named to University Faculty for AVIXA. He received the AVIXA 2012 Young AV Professional award and the Educator of the Year award for 2020. Jonathan’s work in industry standards is extensive having sat on the AVIXA PISCR (Projected Image System Contrast Ratio) task group, helping develop the industry ANSI standard for system contrast. He is currently the co-moderator of the Image System Contrast Ratio (ISCR) task group creating the contrast ratio standard for direct view displays. Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Digital Signage Expo and helps create the educational curriculum for the organization. He is a founding director of ISF Commercial, a display calibration certification body, and a co-director of The Digital Signage Experts Group. He provides articles for industry publications including Systems Contractor News, Commercial Integrator, Sound and Video Contractor, and The Digital Signage Magazine.
